It was only the first few pages, but this quote speaks volumes to me, serving as a warning about nostalgia and fear. Santiago, a shepherd boy on a journey to find treasure in Egypt, meets a crystal merchant who explains that he is afraid to leave the life he knows and clings to the dream of traveling rather than living it. This exemplifies how we imagine that the past was better because it feels familiar. We avoid pursuing our calling because success would require change. The merchant’s identity became wrapped up in maintaining the life he had built. I guess that sounds kind of familiar? It’s easy to say that maybe some of the best days are behind us. LEGO's

Dear Beb,  You might be wondering why I bought YOU a LEGO set this time, right? Well, let's start from the beginning... Although I'm just another millennial just trying to please his inner child, playing with these toys had such a significant impact in life. It taught organization, patience in the process of building, and creativity. These three lessons still play important roles in my life. When you carefully and meticulously follow the instructions, you're left with the same creation that captivated you the moment you saw the picture on the box. I loved  playing with these toys and could never get enough of it. As the man that I am today, I understand that those three lessons ultimately leave you with the results you've yearned for...It's all beautiful in the end.  The LEGO set I give to you is a representation of the act of  "building" in our relationship. Calcifier

 Two months ago, we were finally able to travel the world with each other, and (finally) watched  Howl's Moving Castle . Although, I had trouble understanding it at first, I took the time to do some analytical research of my own (without you knowing) to fully grasp why this movie meant so much to you. And, after a few articles and Google searches of "Howl's Moving Castle best quotes," I've come to the conclusion that Calcifier is my favorite character in the film...and we'll get into that in a moment. I did not expect 2023 to be the year that it was for me. It was full of celebration for my loved ones, congratulatory ceremonies, and moments of anxiety and tears.
